Oh God Mia, why do you need new turntables? (c) Richard and Carol Ann

... That was Mom and best friend's response when I told them what I wanted for my b-day... As if my living room didn't already look like the electronics section of Best Buy, I will have another gadget to add to the bunch come October... They are used to the fact that my self diagnosed ADD forces me to dib and dab in all sorts of things.. I'm a jack of all trades, master of none so to speak... However, they should be relieved that I didn't ask for shoes for the upteenth year in a row... Right? Needless to say DJ HERO is the answer to my prayers... I can PRETEND to be a DJ just like I have been doing for the longest with my turntables that weren't made for a video game console. Check out the video interview on DJ Hero, as well as some snap shots below :)

Sooooo Celebrate Saint Louis has a slew of artists that I actually want to see this year... Looks like I'm adding a trip back home for Live on the Levee to my CRAZY summer full of traveling... Check out some of the artists I'm excited about that are headlining below:

Lupe August 1st 8pm

Guster July 31st 8pm

Angie Stone July 24th 8pm

Train July 4th 8pm

Counting Crows July 3rd 8pm

Sonic Youth July 17th 8pm

...I can't wait to find out who the opening acts are... Needless to say I will be on my feet for countless hours on these respected dates. I hope to see some amazing local talent as the opening acts... I'm SOOOOOOO EXCITED! :)

My tentative schedule for the summer is:

June 15-17 Chicago to find an apartment
June 18-20 AtL... MAYBE....
June 25-27 StL for my cousin's wedding
June 28-July 27 Probably heading back to StL for some Celebrate StL/Live on the Levee festivities
July 28 C-bus... Incubus
July 28-30 Orientation for Law School (clearly I'm going to have to be in two places at once because I am NOT MISSING INCUBUS)
July 31- August 1 StL for Lupe at Live on the Levee
August 7-9 Chicago for Lollapalooza/Sneakerpimps/Wizard World (JUDGE ME NOT!)
August 13th MOVE TO CHICAGO and start hell (aka Law School)

Yeah, this summer is gonna be NUTS!!! But I wouldn't have it any other way :)

I like it when somebody tells me a story, and I actually really feel that that's becoming like a lost art in American cinema (c) Q. Tarantino

Inglourious Basterds debuted at the Cannes Film Festival this past week... It has been getting mixed reviews from what I've read either people LOVED it or absolutely HATED IT! I am a fan of Mr. Tarantino's work so I am looking forward to this checking this one out in August...

Check out this trailer if you haven't a clue what I am talking about...

You's a nasty (nasty) Trashy (nasty) Sleazy (nasty) Classless (nasty) (c) Destiny's Child

Mia Washington was the mother of what appeared to be fraternal twins however, after a few months Mia began to notice that the twins had different facial features all together. She decided to get a professional's opinion and this expert verified Mia's concern. Her twins turned out to have two different fathers. Yup, it can happen folks.... This is some Maury mess right here... STRAIGHT UP SLUTERRIFIC! Check out the full article HERE. What made me even more upset is that they were interviewing Ms. Washington on the Today Show as if this was something that should be celebrated... Grrrrr.

If I had one wish... (c) Ray J

It would be that, THESE would be cute...

Nike released the "X-Men Origins" pack utilizing the Nike Air Max '95 and the Nike Big QK and just like the movie they are subpar. :-/ It is sad that my unadulterated love for Logan made me consider buying the Wolverine half of the pack... bah well, perhaps I can work on a custom Logan kick all my own... Too bad my A.D.D will prevent me from doing such... Click HERE if you wanna purchase the Sabertooth's or HERE if you have an eye for the Wolverine's
