Saartjie “Sarah” Bartmann aka Hottentot Venus was an African woman and a sideshow act in 19th century Europe. She basically would shake her extremely large derriere for Europeans because they considered her bodily features to be highly unusual… The Hottentot Venus was also known as “Hot Tottie” on some of the advertisements for her various exhibitions. Now, does this have to do with the Usher song? He’s basically describing a “freak” right? Ms. Bartman was a freak show attraction… Eh I’m not quite sure… But just figured I’d drop some random knowledge for you to ponder over…
