… I love that book btw… I identify with the character Estella on many levels… But anyway… I am not really that big of a fan of romantic comedies… HOWEVER, there are a few moments in a few films that invoke a *girly sigh* from me… Now those that know me know that I LOATHE the film Pretty Woman… I like my romance to be ridiculously unattainable, or realistic… and that film was neither.  But anywho, the scene that I did like from the film was when Richard Gere had Julia Roberts’ outfit laid out for her on the bed… Shoes and all…. Now, this can be seen as pseudo controlling in a “I like this and this is what I want to see you in” type deal… But I think I would like it if the guy took the time and effort to pick out an outfit that he liked and wanted to see me in… Keeping in mind what I like as well; presented it to me… and then took me somewhere nice.  I know I know… such things only happen in the realm of the romantic comedy… But one can dream… :)

<— this pic really has NOTHING to do with this post… But you have to admit that this scene in the movie was SCHHHHHAAWEEEET lol.

So I was watching Weeds (Showtime, Monday nights, 10pm Eastern time… *GET HIP*)… and this episode in particular hit kinda close to home.  Without going into too much detail for those that haven’t seen the show… There is romantical tension between the characters Andy and Nancy Botwin… Nancy likes to give Andy the illusion that he has a shot at being with her romantically just as a means to keep him from completely removing himself from her life.  It lead me to ponder… How many individuals had I not “released?"  Throughout the episode Andy kept begging Nancy to "release him” (admit to him that their is no chance of he and Nancy ever being together) but she would not do it.  Andy grew very frustrated at her reluctancy to do so… 

I know that this is a horrible practice… But I also know that I am guilty of doing so… Why come?  Eh, probably the fake sense of stability that keeping someone in “limbo” brings… The fact that they’ll always be there… etc.  Another reason could be the fact that I’m ridiculously indecisive and think that perhaps over time my feelings will change… and I can persuade myself to like the person in “that way."  As one of my friends has brought to my attention… "Once you put someone in the friend zone Mia, it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE for them to go anywhere from there” © Yonzy.  Which is very true… And even though they may THINK that things are progressing towards something more… In my mind…they probably aren’t. 

Anywho, there is some good to this post…I am happy to report that I have released a LOT of people as of recently… And it feels pretty good.  I only have one big one to tackle probably this weekend… WISH ME LUCK! :)
